Young India meet Major Priya Jhingan.She is the first woman to join the ADGPI - Indian Army in 1992. A Judge in the Army for 10 years, a Corporate Trainer for 5 years, Teacher for 3 years, a qualified skier, participant at Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 1 and the list goes on. Shilpy Gargmukh - India's First Lady Territorial Army Officer Young India meet Shilpy Gargmukh. She is the First Lady Territorial Army Officer. Achievement of Mrs. Gargmukh will serve as an example to all women and will embolden their spirits to join Territorial Army. Hats off to this lady !!

Young India meet Captain Priya Semwal. She Joined the Indian Army at the age of 27 years, after the death of her husband Naik Amit Sharma, of the 14-Rajput regiment, was martyred while taking part in a counter-insurgency operation in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.She is the first martyred soldier’s wife to become a commissioned officer. She was only a first-year undergraduate student when she got married in 2006, she had completed post graduation in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in teaching and employed in a coaching institute, when her husband was martyred. She took SSB exam. After her selection, during the training in Officers Training Academy, she received 12 medals (for endurance, physical training and outdoor training) and two gold medals for cross-country racing. She is currently posted with the Indian Army Corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineers. she is an inspiration for everyone, especially the youth. Hats off to this lady !! source : https://...

Young India meet Captain Poonam Sangwan, VSM. She has won several awards in a very short time span of her career, including the Vishisht Seva Medal (2013) for summiting Mount Everest in 2012, the Engineers Medal (Drill and Turnout) in 2007, a Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card in 2016 for distinguished service.
